Chris Pine is Signing on for ‘Steve Trevor’ in Wonder Woman!

There have been a lot of rumors and talk floating around as to whether actor Chris Pine would be playing Hal Jordan in the new Green Lantern movie, or if he would play Wonder Woman’s love interest ‘Steve Trevor‘ opposite Wonder Woman, ‘Gal Gadot’ in the upcoming Wonder Woman Movie. The Wrap is reporting Chris Pine has closed a deal to play Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot in 2017’s Wonder Woman and will sign a multi-picture deal that includes sequel options. The online trade adds Trevor will be not only a love interest for Gadot’s Diana Prince, but the role will be an action-oriented one as well.

If accurate, this would squash fanboy speculation that Pine – who is currently filming Star Trek Beyond – would be joining the DCCU as a member of the Green Lantern Corps in their film.

Patty Jenkins is directing Wonder Woman from a Jason Fuchs script and the film is scheduled for a June 23, 2017 release.
